Expatriate residents and overseas purchasers represented more than two-thirds of sales across Talay and Yas Riva Reserve, while UAE nationals accounted for the remaining 31%.
According to Aldar, 54% of purchasers were buying from the developer for the first time. Buyers from the UAE, UK, Russia, Jordan and India were among the leading nationalities by sales volume, highlighting the mix of domestic, resident and international purchasers across the two developments.
Waterfront Projects on Saadiyat and Yas Island
Talay is the first residential community within Marsa Al Saadiyat, an AED 100 billion waterfront destination forming the final phase of the Saadiyat Island masterplan. The wider destination is expected to eventually accommodate more than 58,000 residents.
Yas Riva Reserve is a gated waterfront community on the northeastern side of Yas Island. Plans include a new bridge providing an additional access point to the island and connections to its existing attractions and amenities. Both developments have been designed around family living, incorporating landscaped open spaces and waterfront areas.
International Buyers Support AED 5 Billion Sales Total
The combined sales performance provides a clear indication of buyer interest in Aldar’s two waterfront developments, with expatriate residents and overseas purchasers accounting for the majority of sales and more than half of buyers being new to the developer.
Aldar attributed the results to continued demand for residential developments in Abu Dhabi and the appeal of waterfront communities on Saadiyat and Yas Islands. The figures add to the picture of international participation in the emirate’s residential market, while relating specifically to the performance of Talay and Yas Riva Reserve.
